Lipidomics Analysis for Research in Academia and Industry
LipoSpectrum Services: Researchers from a variety of fields are interested in studying lipid profile changes. LipoSpectrum is poised to provide two forms of analysis for their needs. The first, called Global Lipid Analysis, involves analysis of the sample for a variety of lipid classes and provides data to indicate how individual intact molecular species are changing. The second, called Targeted Lipid Class Analysis, involves analyzing the sample to determine changes in individual intact molecular species from one specific class of lipid of interest to the researcher. This comprehensive, detailed analysis of individual molecular species will help researchers make critical decisions in their study and may result in identifying critical biomarkers, uncovering biochemical mechanisms underlying a pathobiological condition, testing drug efficacy, examining nutritional effects, etc. Sample Requirement: The amount of sample can be very small (please contact us with your individual case). Samples can be from any biological source, animal as well as plant. Examples are plasma, saliva, tissues, cells, membrane fractions, urine, feces, etc. Global Lipid Analysis: Global Lipid Analysis involves comprehensive analysis including identification of all possible individual molecular lipid species of lipid classes listed below. This technology has identified and quantified over thousands of individual molecular species from the following lipid classes. Glycerophospholipids: PC, PE, PS, PG, PI, PA, Lyso-PC, and CL Glycerolipids: TAG Fatty Acyls: Free Fatty Acids Metabolites: Acyl-carnitine Sphingolipids: Ceramide, SM, CBS (Hexosylceramide), Sulfatide, Sphingoid bases, Sphingoid base 1-phosphate, and Psychosine. Sterol Lipids: Coming soon Targeted Lipid Analysis: Targeted Lipid Analysis involves identification and quantification of individual molecular species present in the sample from any one of the following lipid classes: PC,
PE, PS, PG, PI, PA, Lyso-PC, CL, TAG, Free Fatty
Acids, Acyl-Carnitine, CER, SM, CBS (Hexosylceramide), ST, Sphingoid base, Sphingoid base 1-phosphate, and Psychosine
